As much as I enjoy being around people, sharing energy, and being social, it still takes a toll on me. I describe myself as an introverted extrovert. I get excited about making new friends and going out on adventures with strangers. Then one day I wake up and my energy is low. My spirit whispers to me, “let’s just lay here…stay in with me.” Sometimes it will last a day, other times it will last four. I can feel my peers around me noticing my change in energy, thinking that something is wrong when really all I need is to reset and get back in tune with my spiritual desires.
Take time today to breathe with yourself. Let your mind wander without the aid of technology or outside voices. Just ‘be’ in your existence and fill your mental space with yourself and only yourself.
Questions to ponder:
- How is my spirit?
- What do I need today to feel balanced, aligned, and full?
- How can I show myself love?

Very well said! Sometimes my energy dips, little by little, and I don’t notice until I wake up one day wondering why I feel off. I worry that something’s wrong, when really all I need is some time to restore the energy I’ve been spending.
It’s so helpful to notice the process… to pay attention, to check in, to take time to re-energize and rebalance. Thanks for the reminder!
