The fervent cosmic dancer, Nataraja, is a form of Shiva known as the ‘Lord of The Dance’. This yoga position is to uplift, energize, encourage movement, and the strength required to dance the dance of life. It is this position that represents all flow, rhythm, creation, manifestation, and transformation of life.
Have you ever let loose on the dance floor? Been so uninhibited that you allowed yourself to be free, even if it was only for one song; eyes closed, music loud, mind vibing and consumed by the moment? In the purity of THAT moment, you were free. Wouldn’t it be magnificent to live life the same way? To literally and metaphorically dance through life, unafraid of the social constructs? Unbothered by the judgment of others? Unfettered by your own expectations of what life should be like? You have the power to manifest this.
As Panic at the Disco sang, “You have to have high, high hopes for a living.”
It does not come without fear or frustration. Like practicing the difficult yoga position of Nataraja, you will be imbalanced, uncomfortable, feel like you don’t know what you’re doing and fall. The only way to conquer it is with patience and a focused, positive mindset.
Saying ‘YES’ when everything in you is screaming ‘NO.’ Choosing to dance when you typically stand on the wall. Applying for the job. Moving to a new country. Getting naked at the beach. Saying I love you first and being present for all the emotions that come with it.
Life is going to continue to play the music whether or not you choose to dance. So you might as well join in.

Beautifully written.
One cannot love another without loving oneself. We can sail through life or we can dance , but we must leave the dock or step away from the wall. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. We crawled before we walked. We crashed our bike before learning to ride.
